La Terraça, located a short distance from Caniço Church, in the heart of the parish, serves the authentic traditional Madeiran dishes. The owner, Mr. José Manuel Nascimento, with many years of experience in the sector in Venezuela, arrived in Madeira Island in the early 90's, opening the Snack Bar La Terraça in 1991.

Originally, the maximum capacity of the place did not reach 25 people, but in the year 1997 began to enlarge the building, creating a new area that would accommodate 100 people sitting in the new restaurant.
In 2010, an esplanade with mountain view was created, allowing to serve the outside for approximately 20 people.
